Jeff Perrine was born in Troy, New York.  Before the age of ten, Jeff was studying oil painting under the tutelage of Upstate New York artist Russ McMahon.  McMahon's training provided the foundation for all of Jeff's artistic work.  Perrine continued his art studies through his high school years, and went on to study art at the College of Saint Rose in Albany.  By this time, however, Perrine's passion for life and experience were not cut out for further classroom instruction and he left after just one semester.

Jeff's next 20 years were spent pursuing an adventurous military career.   He became a Green Beret, an Airborne Ranger, a master parachutist, and even an experienced helicopter pilot.  Perrine's travels through Africa, the Middle East and Europe continue to influence his work.

Perrine resumed his pursuit of art in the mid-1990s and has since amassed an impressive portfolio.  He lives in Watertown, New York with his wife Mary and teenage children Martika and Noah.
